The mini mouse melon, also known as MEXICAN SOUR GHERKIN (Melothria Scabra) is generally
used as a cucumber even though they look exactly like a mini watermelon, growing only 1 or 2 inches long.
Some say it has a nice cucumber taste with a slight sour pickle flavor. Others say it
tastes somewhat like a cross between a fava bean and a cucumber.
Either way these are the cutest little fruits you will raise. They can be eaten raw without peeling,
and add great color and pizzaz to a salad, either whole or sliced in half. Also used in 3 bean type salads with vinegarette dressing. Yum!
