This beautiful US native palm gets great green fan shaped foliage. This form originated in the area of Cape Hatteras NC and these grow larger than many other forms, often to 6 to 8 feet tall. These beautiful plants grow best in full sun to full shade, in dry or wet soil, and they are hardy to zone 6b, possibly to zone 6a or even into zone 5b with heavy protection! These seeds are from plants in some of the northern most natural occurring stands of this palm. This is one of the most cold hardy species of palm available, although also check out my other ads for a few extra cold hardy forms of this species as well as numerous other hardy palms. They would make excellent additions to your rare plant collection, or just make a unique statement in your yard.
